Gloowy started with my mom. She's been a bookworm her entire life, the kind of person who loses track of time between pages and reads until the house goes quiet. But for as long as I can remember, reading has come with a cost for her. Dry, tired eyes. Constant discomfort. A problem she had simply learned to live with.
For years, we assumed it was just her eyesight. Then one day, we took a closer look at something we had never really questioned — her old book light. What was meant to help her read was actually the very thing causing her pain. Poor light quality, harsh output, the wrong kind of glow for something as intimate as reading.
That realization changed everything.
Together, we set out to build something better. Not just a brighter light, but a smarter one — designed specifically around the way people actually read. The result is Gloowy: a new generation of reading technology engineered to be gentle on your eyes, easy on your mind, and thoughtful in every detail.
